I just graduated from Flagler College, in St. Augustine, Florida Saturday Dec. 11th. My degree is in communication with emphases in journalism and media production. I hope to pursue a career in fashion journalism and one day become an editor, working with multimedia.
Flagler was definitely the right college for me; small, tight-knit group of people, with loads of opportunities. Professors always drilled it into us, "get internships." I did one last summer but it wasn't very beneficial. This January I will be going to Germany for 2 months to work with a small production company and learn more skills that will help me with my career. I will also be working with a fashion photographer, hopefully and even try to volunteer for Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Berlin.
I will also be going to Turkey to visit family and Italy to see where my ancestors are from.
2011 will definitely be a fabulous year and Wanderlust is the blog I will keep to track where I am, what I am seeing and doing and hopefully where I will be going.
Check back for daily updates starting the 12th of January because that is when the big trip begins. Until then, have a wonderful holiday and a happy new year.
